Sathya Sai Baba (23 November 1926 – 24 April 2011), born Sathya Narayana Raju, was a popular Indian guru, believed to be the reincarnation of Sai Baba of Shirdi. Innumerable reports of miraculous healings, resurrection, clairvoyance, bilocation, and alleged omnipotence and omniscience have been attributed to Sai Baba by both devotees and non-devotees.


Devotees and followers also say that he was not only the reincarnation of Shirdi Sai Baba but also the avatar (incarnation) of both the god Shiva and his consort Shakti.
